Vacation Norway

Why go to Creative Vacations?
Doing a workshop with Creative Vacations is a way to see the landscape of the north. You will look at the landscape, the water and the light in a way you haven’t thought of before, see places you wouldn’t have seen otherwise and learn more about your camera’s ability to capture it all.

Location, location, location

A traditional, little farm consisting of a small house and a classic red barn, the way you find them all over Northern Norway, is the location. It’s found on the little, green island of Håkøya, with some interesting archaeology, a dramatic WWII history and a rich bird life. Håkøya is attached to the bigger island of Kvaløya by a low bridge. Kvaløya has a dramatic and varied landscape of high mountains, friendly greenery and a rough outer coast facing the open Atlantic. Tromsø is just half an hour away, but that is easy to forget once you’re there.

Who should sign up for winter programme?

You need two things to sign up; an SLR camera (any brand, any model), and an interest of discovering the landscapes of the Arctic.
Beginner or intermediate?

  • If you have just bought an SLR Camera, this is a course for you. You will learn the most useful possibilities an SLR can offer for landscape and outdoor light, and you will return home with some photos you never though possible.
  • Amateur photographer with more advanced and long term skills will also benefit from the instruction. This is your chance of moving to the next level within special effects, photo shop, light, flash etc. for outdoor use, under the guidance of a Concordia educated photographer.
  • Since we only accept up to 7 guest, we can adapt to each individual. On every level, the particular light conditions and landscapes of Arctic Norway will be in focus.
