Creative Vacations: Northern Lights and Photography
Creative Vacations invite you to a night consecrated to searching for that frail beauty called Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. Easy-to-grasp night photography instructions by a professional photographer are accompanied by outings to good northern lights locations, dinner and all necessary transportation.
Who should sign up?
Anyone with an SLR camera can sign up. Since we only accommodate up to six guests, we can cater for both beginners and photo amateurs on an intermediate and advanced level. This could be the first time you take night photos, or you could take your skills to the next level.
The programme minute to minute:
Approximate hours, Aurora is not a punctual lady
17:30: Pick-up from downtown (Radisson Blu hotel) Tromsø .
18:00: Arrival in the Studio. Introduction on capturing the Northern Lights (40 mins). We learn about photography in general and Aurora photography in particular. Then we head out to chase the Aurora. To maximize the time that we spend outside we bring the food with us and make a pick nick.
01:00-02:00: Return to the city
Rate:
NOK 1200 per guest
Minimum 2, maximum 7 guests
Keep in mind:
- Basically you bring your own camera and tripod. We have a little extra equipment
- We provide warm clothes, bring good shoes and woolen socks
- We provide a fish dinner and hot beverages. Notify if you have special dietary request.
- Even when indoor, we're always on the lookout for the lights
- Make this your first Northern Lights excursion. Then you're prepared to photograph the rest of your stay in the high north!
